Family Visit

On Friday afternoon my sister Christina came to visit with her husband Dirk and kids Thomas and Grace.  It was Thomas' fifth birthday so we were lucky enough to get to celebrate with him!  What a fun time all the kids had together! :)

Thomas got a new remote control car for his birthday and was SO excited about it!  We got out our RC cars and he and Natalie had cars zooming all over the house before long!  Jacob was gone most of the day - he got his once-this-summer visit to the waterslides near us and didn't get back until early evening.  Then he promptly removed all the pepperoni from our leftover pizza and had a huge piece of chocolate cake!

 Grace is very shy at first so we put on Curious George, which she loves.  That got her smiling...

 She and Natalie got along so well...here they are looking at little plastic animals and naming all of them together.

 Sydney got all happy because we were singing to Thomas.  She loves the Happy Birthday song!

 While my sister was cutting the cake, Grace came around the other side of the counter and would peek up at her mom saying, "Chocolate?  Chocolate?!"  Natalie started to talk to her about chocolate and then they did an adorable "chocolate dance" together.

Whew, they were all exhausted by the end of the evening.  Time for bed!
