Happy Valentine's Day!

Every year I try to get a decent shot of the kids together for Valentine's Day. It is always an adventure...ha! On Sunday I took them to a local park and said "First pictures...then you can play!" Jacob did what I asked, but just so he could get to the playground, Natalie hammed it up, and Sydney...well, let's just say she's not a fan of the camera yet!

I sat them down, gave them some hearts, and tried to get them to look at me. Jacob shielded himself from the sun and Sydney started crying. Natalie, my little helper, tried hard to get them to play along...

This is the "official" shot...the best one of all three. Well, if you can count half of Jacob's eye as him being in the picture! Sydney is actually crying here but I think I can pass it off as laughing. Right?

I am amused by the Sydney drama in this one. She is actually crying with her head in her hands, this is apparently so horrible. We just torture the girl.

She is starting to compose herself here, but still crying a bit. She did like the hearts, though.

He's wondering when the heck this will be over with. He was trying so hard to be good!

Okay, okay...you can go play on the playground!

Jacob loves to sit at the very top of the playground equipment and look at everything going on beneath him. Look how happy it makes him! Please ignore the snotty nose...we have had colds for almost a month.

He was surprised I climbed up there with him to the top. This is him asking, "Jacob Mommy slide?" His way of asking if we can slide down together. Of course!

She's happy now that she's in a swing!

Catching Up - Valentine's Day

I had misplaced the cord to my camera for a bit and hadn't downloaded photos since Valentine's Day! So I am playing catch up today....lots of photos and video to come! To start with...my little Valentines!!


Jacob's IA, Christine, brought plain cupcakes and lots of toppings and had the kids decorate the cupcakes together in the afternoon. Jacob LOVES sprinkles!!

This is the one they did together for me. Jacob did the sprinkles and Natalie did the gel icing. :)

When I tried to eat my cupcake, Sydney had to help.
