Bulldogs

Another very late post, but I still had to share these cute pictures! These are all back from May 8th when Jacob had peer play with his friend Porter. The first pictures below are of Natalie and Porter's brother Kai...they had discovered the bulldogs in our neighbor's backyard and were just tickled with them...

Later on, our neighbor Rudy was kind enough to bring the bulldogs out for the kids to see. Jacob & Porter were just finishing up their peer play session so they all got to check out the dogs. Jacob was in LOVE with them and was laughing so hard...I think over how loudly they breathe. It was adorable. :)

Digging Worms

In Jacob's peer play session with Porter on Tuesday, his IA Christine had them do a little "cooking" together. It was a lot of fun!

First they took ziploc bags filled with oreos and used my meat tenderizer to CRUSH them...it was fun to bang on the cookies! Here's Porter...and Jacob's even watching!















Porter counted out three sour gummy worms for each of them...and gave some to Jacob...

Jacob watched as Christine put them in the bottom of his cup. While she was helping Porter after this, Jacob snuck out a gummy worm and ate it (woohoo!). But it was one of the sour kind and after he put it in his mouth, he started gagging on it and his eyes were watering. Amazingly, he still chewed it up and swallowed it. We all thought at one point he was going to throw up because he gagged so badly on it. I can't believe he still got it down!! He amazes me sometimes.
















They put the oreo cookies in and some chocolate pudding, then dug in! Jacob even ate some pudding! Here's Porter with his...

President's Day

Jacob & his friend Porter made this poster in peer play on 2/21 - they were talking about George Washington and the cherry tree. Pretty cute! Jacob's fabulous IA Christine came up with this one...

Social Tuesday

I'm just now downloading my pictures from this week...so here are some cute ones I took on Tuesday. First thing in the morning we hosted Natalie's playgroup. There happen to be two other babies in the group, too, so Sydney had some playmates as well! Natalie was in HEAVEN with all her friends...she is such a social girl!

After playgroup, Jacob had his friend Porter over for peer play. Porter's mom Michelle was here too, and also Porter's brother Kai. Kai and Natalie are the same age, so it makes for a fun visit!! We were getting ready for Chris' birthday and the kids really enjoyed blowing up balloons and playing with them in the living room together.

Brrrr

It's cold here! And wet, but really cold! Well, for us, anyway! On Thursday morning, Jacob's IA Chris braved the weather to get the kids outside. It's supposed to be raining for days and days so we took advantage of a little clear weather when we had it.

He had Jacob and Natalie work on some peer play skills, pushing each other on the tricycle and playing together on the "roller coaster" in our front yard.

Sydney and I bundled up and watched!
