Jacob, like many kids with autism, likes to line things up. He didn't do it much when he was younger, it's more of a recent development. He has a set of large blocks that he loves to line up across his bedroom floor, then he scoots on his tummy and watches them go by.
Last night I went in his room and found the above line up of abandoned socks. He must have gotten them out of the laundry basket in my room! There are some of his beloved "big blocks" precisely placed as well. Even under the bed:
