It seems (or it just IS) that we constantly have a cold going through our house. So frustrating! Little Sydney got one about a week and a half ago that left her nose running like water but otherwise she didn't seem too bad off. She is such a trooper when she is sick...no complaining and she just keeps on going when at all possible.
Tuesday night I thought she was finally starting to get a little better; her nose wasn't running QUITE as badly. Her poor face has been all chapped up and her lips are peeling from the past week or so. Well she woke up Wednesday morning with barely a voice and sounding very congested in her lungs. She did therapy that morning and was still in a great mood, but we all (there were three people here for therapy that morning!) agreed that she sounded awful.
So I cancelled everything for today and tomorrow. She hasn't been at school all week and has had just a few shifts of therapy. She has a hoarse and pretty pathetic sounding voice and gets this harsh cough that makes her hold her neck like it's hurting her throat. Still not really any complaints though, the girl amazes me.
Natalie had the same cold and was down for about 2 days with it - all the fruit she eats really does make a difference. Jacob seems to be fighting it...he has had symptoms but not as badly as Sydney, maybe it's a virus he's had before.
I am praying that she is clearly on the mend tomorrow and isn't headed towards bronchitis or something like that....we'll see...
