Costumes

We are trying to finalize costume ideas for the kids this weekend so I can buy/make everything and have it ready in time for Halloween. Here's a recap of the past few years:
2004 - Jacob had just turned one and was an ADORABLE mummy. He had just the right walk for it!

2005 - Jacob was a cowboy and Natalie was a baby bee

2006 - Jacob was a football player and Natalie was a cheerleader

2007 - Jacob was a dog, Natalie a cat, and Sydney a mouse

So these are my ideas so far for this year:

- Three monkeys (someone suggested having Jacob & Natalie be monkeys and Sydney could be a banana!)

- Chris suggested having them all be superheroes

- Letting them each be something unique that fits them. Probably spongebob for Jacob because that's his current obsession. Natalie changes her mind every day, last night she said she wanted to be a baby. I was thinking maybe an angel for Sydney.

- A 50's theme...how cute would Jacob be in his jeans and leather jacket, and the girls in poufy little skirts? This would be adorable...but wouldn't really make any sense to THEM!

- Flinstones...Jacob as Fred, Natalie as Wilma and Sydney as Pebbles. This would also be so cute. Right now they have never seen the show but I think we could get a DVD and show it to them a few times before Halloween and they'd probably think it was funny...

- Sweets. Jacob as an ice cream, Sydney as cotton candy or a cupcake, and I am not sure about Natalie, I'd let her pick one.

- Garden theme....Jacob as a farmer and then Sydney & Natalie as flowers. :)

- Insects...Jacob as a spider, Natalie a butterfly, and Sydney a ladybug

- Celestial...Jacob as the moon, Natalie as the Sun, and Sydney as Stars

- Mickey Mouse theme...Jacob as Mickey, Natalie as Minnie, and Sydney as....?

- Winnie the Pooh theme...Jacob as Tigger (so fitting!), Natalie as Pooh, and Sidney as Piglet

- Jacob as a gangster and the two girls as flappers (again, this would mean nothing to them but would be pretty cute!!)

Whew! Hopefully we can decide today... :)
