The creek

There is a little creek near our house where we occasionally stop. It's a little tough because both Jacob & Sydney want to just jump in! On 5/4 I went with the two girls while Jacob was in school. The weather was perfect...not too hot, not too cold, and we were able to stay for awhile and enjoy.
Sydney wanted to get in at first, but I set her up with a bucket of water and she was content to dump sand into it for awhile.

A woman stopped by with her golden retriever and we got to see her go in and out of the creek retrieving balls. This was a hit with Natalie especially!

After awhile, the ducks felt safe enough to come out. All of a sudden they were everywhere! They were really playing with each other, and it was a lot of fun to watch. We even saw a mama and her baby come out for a little while.

We caught a couple tadpoles...or maybe fish fry? I told Natalie we could keep them in the bucket and take them home. Here she is trying very carefull not to spill them on the way back to the car.

Back at home she just wanted to talk to and watch her two little guys.

Here they are...you can see one on the bottom right. Unfortunately they only made it a few hours. :(
