When we were at my parents' house after Christmas, Natalie got to meet my best friend, Leslie. They had met before, but not that Natalie could remember. Natalie was in LOVE with Leslie and I think the feeling was mutual. SO...a pledge to be pen-pals was made.
Natalie and Leslie have started mailing each other and Natalie is so thrilled with it! It is adorable. She just received a card which plays "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" every time she opens it. She sings the song (or makes up words) quite loudly and plays with the card a lot. Any visitor to our home...including the Safeway delivery man...has to see the card and ooh and ahh over it. She tells everyone it is from her pen-pal Leslie.
Yesterday she drew and cut out a Valentine for Leslie, and wants us to make cookies so we can put one in with the Valentine when we mail it. How cute is that?
