Lego the Bunny

I am way behind on this post, but didn't want to forget it! On the weekend of 9/24, we got to take care of Lego, the bunny from Jacob's classroom.

We picked him up with Jacob on Friday afternoon. Jacob was happily surprised to see the bunny coming in the car with us. He kept looking over at Lego with a silly grin on his face and making little happy humming noises. A few times he said "Lego!"

When we got home, Natalie insisted we get Lego out right away. As you can see in the pictures, it was her crazy hair day at school, so forgive the blue mess of hair! We made a little spot for him in the living room and let him out. Jacob was very excited and giggly and occasionally he said, "Lego silly!"

I love this shot of him squishing his head up next to Lego! It was very cute. I just had to remind him not to push TOO hard!

Here's Lego munching on a branch from our orange tree...apparently a wonderful treat! We read that it helps keep their teeth worn down.

Another all-time favorite shot...Natalie showing Sydney how to gently pet Lego. She initiated this all on her own, as Natalie is getting really good at. She is going to make a great teacher someday, whatever she does. She was the happiest girl all weekend with her very own pet to play with. She barely left that bunny alone! Jacob & Sydney got over it after Friday night, but not Natalie!
Watching television while snuggling with the bunny. We read that bunnies feel safest if you are low in the ground like them, and that they prefer to sit next to you rather than in your lap. Natalie took it all to heart.
This is pretty much how Natalie and Lego spent their weekend! And look at poor Charlie watching from outside!
