Kindergarten visit

Jacob's IEP for the upcoming school year took place a couple of weeks ago and he's now all set up. He'll be attending the elementary school near our house, and will be in a mainstream classroom. His IA (Instructional Assistant) will be there too and will shadow him in class to make sure he participates and assist the teacher in communicating with him.

We stopped by the school after the last day of the year so that he could meet his new teacher and tour the classroom. He was thrilled! As soon as we got out of the car he said, "School!" and had a big grin on his face when we went in the classroom. He enjoyed the big alphabet rug at the front (see him running around on it?!?), and giggled in the bathroom. We showed him where he would wash his hands and also the playground and water fountain outside. He didn't want to leave. :)
