Jacob feeling proud

A couple of years ago, Jacob was evaluated by a psychologist when we were getting ready to enter him in the school system. She told Chris that Jacob would never feel proud, or understand that we felt proud of him. That made Chris so angry, because already we were seeing signs that told us differently!

Today he very obviously displays pride when he does a good job. He'll even tell you, "Good job! You did it!" when he knows he completed something well. And he gets the BIGGEST grin when we clap for him.

So I had to capture some shots of him yesterday as he played a memory/matching game online. Everytime the game signaled that he'd made a successful match, he'd grin. And then when he'd complete the whole board, the game showed balloons floating up and played music. He'd get up and run up and down the hallway he was so excited!

So take that, Miss Psychologist!

What awesome pictures! How dare someone say that our kids won't feel every emotion that everyone else does. Even if they don't show it the same way all the time!!
