Doctor Details

Well, after several days of doctor visits and sleepless nights, here's where we all stand:

- Chris: still healthy!!

- me: went to the doctor today, have a sinus infection but thankfully caught it on the early side. Antibiotics for me!

- Jacob: continuing his antibiotic for sinus infection/bronchitis and is starting to feel better. His cough still sounds pretty awful though.

- Natalie: After throwing up for a couple hours Monday night, she did seem to feel somewhat better yesterday. I thought she was looking kind of red all over, though, which concerned me. Then when she got up today her cheeks were quite rosy, her face looked puffy, and she seemed to be reddish all over her body with little teeny bumps (sort of sandpapery). Got her to the doctor this afternoon - a lovely temp of 102.6! Doctor at first thought she was "blushed" because of her high fever, then after looking more closely said she had a rash typical of strep throat. Super! So they did a culture and we'll find out for sure on Friday, but until then are assming strep. He said otherwise it is a "virus that mimics strep." Whatever that means! So she is on an antibiotic as well. Or she will be once we get the first dose in her tonight.

- Sydney: Stuffy nose alternating with runny nose. You can tell she just doesn't feel good and she is wanting to be held a lot. And she is having trouble nursing because she can't breath and eat at the same time! Poor little girl! She saw the doctor today and has no infection, at this point it's a normal cold.

Funny Natalie for today:

The nurse had to hold her down on the table to do her throat culture. Natalie is quite a gagger and was completely freaked out by this. She was really upset and crying afterwards. When she finally got her lollipop and calmed down, the nurse asked her if she was better. She made a pouty face and said, "I want a new doctor."

HA!!!!
