He's on FIRE!

Jacob had a fantastic day on Friday!

To start with, he was doing some "peer play" time in therapy with Natalie in the morning, when she started coughing. The IA prompted Jacob to rub her back while she coughed. When the IA stopped prompting him, Jacob removed his hand....and then put it back and rubbed Natalie's back all by himself! He also gave her a hug, and independently said, "Hi, Natalie." :)

Then he was off to school for the afternoon. His IA had to stop by and pick up some papers after class, so we got a firsthand report of how great his day at school had gone. Some highlights:

- His teacher was setting out some shapes on the floor and he didn't like something about the way she was doing it...he independently told her, "Stop it." WOW!!!! His IA said the teacher was pretty surprised! This is the new phrase we've really seen emerging this past week. We can thank Natalie (lots of "Natalie, stop it!" in the past few days!). It is awesome to hear him using it in a variety of (appropriate!) situations!
- Independently went up to a peer who was playing with a big truck and said, "My turn please." The peer gave Jacob the truck, so he went and played with it briefly, then brought it back to his friend and said, "Your turn." WOW-WOW-WOW!!!!!

He also ate a ton (well, for him anyway) - a poptart and half a canister of nuts in morning therapy, and then at school he ate sunflower seeds, a Z-bar (which he will not eat at home), triscuits and cheese, chips, and cookies. Yeah!
